Wow, hard to believe I've been around here so long. I first joined 10 yrs ago looking for some companionship and yes, maybe something a little more. At the time I was married and my wife was an invalid who I hadn't been able to make love to in, at the time, for 11 yrs. I was faithful the entire time and as it turned out remained so until she passed away 6 yrs ago. Not a lot has changed since then, I'm still called historypiper because I used to be a historian then worked in the pipe tobacco industry responsible for g and the mail in our offices. Now I'm in Charlotte and really not a whole lot else has changed. My Ideal Person What's my ideal person? Hmmm, let's see:
1) Someone up to a challenge. It's been a long time for me!
2) Someone who is real. If I want acting that's what movies, tv and plays are for.
3) Someone who can carry on a conversation. If BFF, OMG, "ya know", "like", etc constitutes a large part of your English skills, we probably aren't going to hit it off.
4) Clean. If by some chance we get far enough for me to do things I love, or at least used to love, to do I'd rather not be focusing on odor.

That's about it. I don't get hung up on looks. Sure, I'm human so being attractive is a plus until you meet someone, but if the attractiveness is only skin deep I'm not interested.
