I poured this liquid
into a glass 
it was my blood 
pouring out from me 
draining me of life 
slowly but surely 
I drink it back 
into myself 
like an intravenous transfusion 
to bring me back to life 
I was hidden behind walls 
barriers to protect me 
from the harm 
the world around me 
that caused me
so much pain
